Stamp Out Hunger

Stamp Out Hunger

Don’t forget! On Saturday, May 13 Post Offices around the nation will be collecting non-perishable foods while they deliver the mail.  The drive is sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) and is America’s largest one-day food collection event that provides millions of pounds of food to local relief agencies for distribution to families in need.

Letter carriers in Florham Park, Chatham, Madison, Cedar Knolls,  Morris Plains (includes sections of Parsippany, and Morris Township), Morristown, Mendham, Mountain Lakes, Rockaway, and Dover (includes Wharton and sections of Randolph) will be collecting food for the IFP to help our own neighbors in need.

All you need to do is place a bag of non-perishable items next to your mailbox, and the letter carriers will do the rest.  Suggested items include hearty and regular soups, canned fruit, canned tuna, evaporated or dry milk, pasta sauce in cans or plastic jars, and canned beans such as pinto, kidney, etc.

You can also help us spread the word by posting this flyer in your office, at you club or social, in your electronic bulletin to help us get the word out.
