Did you know you can double your contribution with a matching gift from your employer?
If your company participates in the United Way campaign, you can designate IFPN to receive these funds by simply writing in Interfaith Food Pantry, Morris Plains on the enrollment form.
One of the easiest ways to help us continue to provide food and support to local families in need well into the future is to remember us in your will. $1,000 is enough for us to purchase a year’s supply of food for a family of four.
IFPN accepts gifts of stock. It is our policy to cash out stock transfers as quickly as possible so the value of your tax benefit will be as close to the value of the stock as possible.
Current federal law allows those 70 ½ or older to donate a gift of up to $100,000 to IFPN without reporting the withdrawal as taxable income. This is particularly useful if you must make a minimum distribution but do not need the income, have exceeded your ability to claim an income tax-deduction, do not itemize your deductions or may have more of your Social Security income taxed by receiving additional income.
Charitable Remainder Trusts and Gift Annuities
Trusts and Annuities are administered for IFPN in partnership with the Community Foundation of New Jersey. Visit www.cfnj.org or call 973-267-5533 for more information.
You can designate the Interfaith Food Pantry Network as a beneficiary in your life insurance policy. When you choose to make a planned gift to IFPN, we suggest that you seek the counsel of your personal financial adviser, attorney, accountant, banker or insurance professional.
Donate a Car
Transportation is a vital part of managing a family. Through various life circumstances, many times our clients find themselves without a car and unable to afford to purchase one. This complicates travel to work and back, childcare, medical care etc. Car donations have the capacity to get a family back on their feet.
Tribute cards are available for any occasion such as bar and bat mitzvahs, holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, memorials, etc. They also make great business gifts as well as a welcome “Thank You” for the teacher.
Our Commitment to Our Donors
We appreciate donations of all sizes and frequency. You can make one-time donations or planned giving to ensure that the Interfaith Food Pantry Network can meet the needs of our community well into the future and leave your lasting legacy of caring.
We will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
Unless requested that your donation remain anonymous, your name and donation amount may appear in our Annual Report, our Annual Giving Tree, or other print materials or on our website. We honor all requests to remain anonymous.
This policy applies to all information received by the Interfaith Food Pantry Network, both online and offline, on any Platform (“Platform”, includes the Interfaith Food Pantry Network website and mobile applications as well as any electronic, written or oral communications).
