Healthy Choices Kitchen

IFPN is more than just providing food. We deliver food that has nutritional value and can help to keep our community healthy.

Hunger is a Major Public Health Issue

Low-income families and seniors are at a disproportionately higher risk of developing diet-related health issues such as obesity, diabetes and hypertension.

Our Nutrition Educators, Diane Celleri and Alison Geary, purchase healthy items and develop nutrition education programs in partnership with other community agencies such as Atlantic Health to help people prevent and/or manage health issues with proper diet.

Each month, they demonstrates the making of a healthy recipe in the Healthy Choices Kitchen. As part of our ongoing commitment to offer nutrition education, Diane and Alison instruct on how to prepare food in a nutritious manner. Anyone can benefit!
