The Interfaith Food Pantry Network is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Always consult your tax advisor as to the deductibility of your contribution. Tax ID #22-3618468.

If your company participates in the United Way campaign, you can designate IFPN to receive these funds by simply writing in Interfaith Food Pantry, Morris Plains on the enrollment form.
Donor-Advised Fund
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes. DAFs can easily be set up through the Community Foundation of New Jersey (visit www.cfnj.org or call 973-267-5533 for more information), your financial institution, or a sponsoring organization that administers the fund, such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable or BNY-Mellon. If you already have a donor-advised fund that participates in DAF Direct, you can recommend grants to support the Interfaith Food Pantry Network directly. IFPN’s tax ID # is 22-3618468.
Stock Transfers
Stock donations made to IFPN can significantly reduce the amount of tax you pay. Donating stock allows you to legally evade paying income tax on the fair market value of the amount donated as well as capital gains tax on any appreciated value of the shares donated. Please consult your financial advisor for more information.
It is IFPN’s policy to cash out stock transfers as quickly as possible so the value of your tax benefit will be as close to the value of the stock as possible. Contact Wendy Potkay at (973) 538-8049 x220 or wpotkay@mcifp.org for more information.
IRA Qualified Charity Distributions
Current federal law allows those 70 ½ or older to donate a gift of up to $100,000 to IFPN without reporting the withdrawal as taxable income. This is particularly useful if you must make a minimum distribution but do not need the income, have exceeded your ability to claim an income tax-deduction, do not itemize your deductions or may have more of your Social Security income taxed by receiving additional income. Non-probate assets*
Do you have an IRA, 401(k), life-insurance policy, or any other assets not included in your will? If so, these are called non-probate assets and you must plan your beneficiaries for them separately. Use this online tool to make your plans and designate us as a beneficiary of one or more of these assets.

Donate a Car
Transportation is a vital part of managing a family. Through various life circumstances, many times our clients find themselves without a car and cannot afford to purchase one. This complicates travel to work, childcare, medical care etc. Car donations have the capacity to get a family back on their feet.
Tribute Card
Tribute cards are available for any occasion such as holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, memorials, teacher acknowledgements, business gifts, etc.

This commitment applies to all information received by the Interfaith Food Pantry Network, both online and offline and on any Platform including the IFPN website and mobile applications as well as any electronic, written or oral communications.
Unless requested that your donation remain anonymous, your name and donation amount may appear in our Annual Report, our Annual Giving Tree, or other print materials or on our website. We honor all requests to remain anonymous.
